Welcome to my corner of the internet! I'm Yasmine, a product designer based in Toronto. This is where I share my work, my explorations, the quirky side notes, and the things I love. (If you haven't noticed yet, yes, stars are one of them.)

I've worked with companies of all sizes, from a brand-new startup to a Series D company, and B2B teams both mid-sized and large. I'm a fan of design systems, big and small, because I like building things that hold together as they grow.

My latest project was helping revamp the navigation system for Payworks, a portal serving 350,000+ monthly visits. It gave me real empathy for what it's like to use a screen reader regularly, and I worked closely with QA and devs to make sure the details of the design survived the build. I'm happiest in the space between design and build: pressure-testing early with devs, asking plenty of questions alongside PMs, and iterating with fellow designers before anything gets handed off.

I keep learning by being inspired with at what other people make, and my Are.na is the living proof. That same curiosity led me to try motion design, and I love how it makes interfaces feel alive.

Away from the screen, my interests rotate every few months: risograph and zines (I even flew to Japan for it), the never-ending search for Toronto's best laptop-friendly cafés (outlets are a must), anime that led me to learn Japanese and take the JLPT N5, and Persona, the RPG series I always come back to.
